Students gain knowledge of the characteristic structural and functional features of representative landscapes of Central Europe. In the exercises they learn to use thematic and topographic maps integratively.
Physical-geographical basics (relief and substrates, soil development, climate, vegetation) of the major landscape areas in Central Europe:
a) Introduction to the landscapes of Central Europe
b) North German lowlands
c) Central German Dryland
d) low mountain ranges I: stratified, karst landscapes
e) Low mountain range II: Black Forest as crystalline low mountain range
