On 15 December 2025, the Bochum Urban Climate Lab contributed to the opening of the Centre for City Futures at Ruhr University Bochum with a poster presentation as part of the Walking Gallery. The opening event brought together representatives from academia, city administration, and practice, and featured welcome addresses by the Rector of Ruhr University Bochum and the Mayor of the City of Bochum. This was followed by opportunities for exchange and networking, offering insights into projects, ideas, and perspectives on future urban development. Through its poster contribution, BUCL presented key aspects of its work in urban climate research and climate adaptation, fostering dialogue with other disciplines and practitioners. The Walking Gallery format encouraged open and interactive discussions on challenges and solutions for sustainable and resilient cities. The event was characterized by lively exchange and networking and provided valuable impulses for interdisciplinary collaboration at the interface of research and urban practice.
